Formula used

hours per year = hours per week × weeks per year
hourly = annual salary ÷ hours per year
weekly = hourly × hours per week
biweekly = annual salary ÷ 26
monthly  = annual salary ÷ 12
daily = annual salary ÷ weeks per year ÷ 5

Worked example

Annual salary: $60,000   Hours/week: 40   Weeks/year: 52

Hours per year: 40 × 52 = 2,080

Result: hourly ≈ $28.85, weekly ≈ $1,153.85, monthly ≈ $5,000.00, yearly = $60,000.

Frequently asked questions

Are these figures take-home pay?

No. The calculator shows gross pay before taxes and deductions. Your net (take-home) pay will be lower after income tax, insurance, and retirement contributions.

How do I compare an annual salary to an hourly rate?

Divide the annual salary by your total hours worked per year (hours per week × weeks per year). The calculator does this for you and shows the hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly equivalents.

What should I enter for weeks per year?

Use 52 for a full year. If you are excluding unpaid vacation, use fewer weeks to reflect only the time you are actually paid.

Why does the daily rate use 5 days?

The daily figure assumes a standard 5-day work week (hours per week ÷ 5). It is a convenient planning estimate, not a legal or contractual day rate.
